Let’s rewind to 2020. The world was on pause, and our bikes were calling louder than ever. A few brave souls, fueled by passion (and perhaps a questionable number of takeout meals), banded together to escape the pandemic blues. Little did we know, this motley crew of cycling fanatics would evolve into the thriving, snack-loving gang we are today!
Now, you might wonder why we’re called Simba Cycling. Well, "Simba" means lion in Swahili, and we like to think of ourselves as a pride of cyclists—roaring our way through the roads! With our logo featuring a fierce-looking lion, we embrace the spirit of camaraderie and strength. Plus, who wouldn’t want to feel like a lion while tackling those hills (even if it’s just a gentle slope)? So remember, when you join us, it's all about riding with pride!
RIDE LIKE A SIMBA!
What began as a casual ride turned into a whirlwind of cycling adventures. One moment we were just a group of friends sporting matching outfits (yes, those kits were a must), and the next, we became a fully registered cycling club affiliated with British Cycling!
Our superpower? Riding hard and eating harder! We firmly believe that no ride is complete without a well-timed snack stop. After all, who says you can’t carbo-load with a slice of cake—or two—mid-ride?
But wait, there’s more! Not only do we cycle for the joy of it, but we also pedal for a cause. We take part in charity rides because why not make the world a slightly better place while simultaneously burning calories? Whether it’s raising funds or awareness, we love getting involved!
Looking forward, we’ve got plans brewing (and no, they’re not just involving tea and biscuits). We aim to organize even more rides and events that combine our love for cycling with our mission to give back. Spoiler alert: there will always be snacks involved, and laughter is mandatory!
